now that school has started again, I'm getting back into the swing of non-summer. that's a weird term to use, but I don't know how else to describe it, since it's not the slow season yet, but it's technically still summer and now I'm just rambling and confusing myself now. here's a peek into the last week.

Friday 4 September // day two hundred forty-eight :: I know that I have for sure posted a picture of baby carrots in this same bowl before, but sometimes I have no photo inspiration and I just love the brightness.

Sunday 6 September // day two hundred fifty :: I meant to take a picture of just the shoes and skirt, but I totally forgot! so this is the best I have.

almost all of the photos this week are centered around preschool things. it's our last week of camp, and we have to get working on next session pretty quickly here. I can't believe that the summer is so close to being over...

not only is it August now, but it's birthday week!!! I'm still not 100% sure of my plans for this weekend (other than working and seeing my little sister!), but I'm hoping for it to be a happy adventure.

Saturday 1 August // day two hundred twenty-three :: it's officially birthday month!!

Sunday 2 August // day two hundred twenty-four :: weather. and wow, did we end up getting quite the storm. we just had a lot of rain here in Sturgeon Bay, but up north, there were such bad storms that there were trees falling down and power outages!

Monday 3 August // day two hundred twenty-five :: one of my favorite secret spots in Sturgeon Bay.

Tuesday 4 August // day two hundred twenty-six :: current favorite song.

Wednesday 5 August // day two hundred twenty-seven :: two of the things that I needed to do included getting some sun to try to even out my skintone (I burned my chest a week ago, so now there's this awkward spot that is tanner than the rest) and painting my toenails and fingernails. I did it all at the same time (or at least tried to) in the parking lot of the quarry. I hope I entertained some of the people who drove by!

if I was a little bit more on top of things, I would have had this one ready to go for yesterday morning. but it was Monday. is anyone ever ready when Monday rolls around? here's a peek into the crazy month that was July. I honestly don't understand how time can go by so fast. the summer is nearly over already!

so the caption on this photo may have been about how I wanted to throw these at the kids. yeah, it wasn't a great day.

three pictures from a lovely morning on the Chicago Fire Boat with the preschoolers. it was even better than every other time I've been on it!

I drove out to the quarry one Monday morning and took pictures of some limestone.

from that same morning, I of course had to drive a little further north to look at Chateau Hutter. this is my very favorite tree at the John A. Hutter Memorial Park across the street. I really keep my personal life pretty private and don't post a lot on Facebook, but I've been posting more lately, and this was something I posted there! I just really like this picture.

of course it would be cloudy and chilly when we took the kids to Quietwoods South for swimming and playing on the splash pad. at least there was no one else there!

Quite a few food pictures this week. There are also a lot of different colors! This weekend was pretty busy at work since it was Memorial Day weekend. I had a fun day off on Monday, and I can't wait to share more pictures of that!

Wednesday 21 May // day one hundred forty-one :: this lunch {grilled cheddar and fuji apple} would have been better executed if I was better at using knives.

Thursday 22 May // day one hundred forty-two :: I was running late {hence the flash and not figuring out the lighting} for a dentist appointment, but I wanted to get a picture of my Converse while they were still clean! {the doormat is from Target}

Friday 23 May // day one hundred forty-three :: I picked up the last load of stuff from the house, so the living room is full again, and that's my excuse for not taking pictures of the apartment yet.

Saturday 24 May // day one hundred forty-four :: I went through those boxes and sorted out what was going to be donated, what was trash/recycling, what I was going to keep, and what I was going to try to give to someone I know instead of just Goodwill. I had to keep these two outfits for my American Girl doll. I still want a skirt like that for myself.

Sunday 25 May // day one hundred forty-five :: I've been doing quite a bit of coloring lately. it's very relaxing. this Dr. Seuss printable can be found here. {of course finding the link that way a few days later led me to the one I originally wanted... haha.}

Monday 26 May // day one hundred forty-six :: Wild Tomato in Fish Creek for dinner with my mom! their pizzas are wood fired. we had ham and pineapple, and it was the best I've ever had, with chunks (not slices) of ham and sweet pineapple.

Tuesday 27 May // day one hundred forty-seven :: green smoothie and lush green grass and leaves. {spinach + banana + peach + chia seeds + water & ice then I added some frozen strawberries after the picture}
