Wow. It's already Thursday again! It's so crazy the way this year seems to be flying by. Anyway, here are some of my favorite things this week!
1. Friends: I got to spend a few hours with my best friend yesterday! :) We had lunch at SubWay & then we went to a local nature preserve and took some maternity pictures for her! :) aaaaand on Sunday, some of my friends are going to be in town for a week of music!!
2. Maybelline's Full 'N Soft mascara (shown here in waterproof): This mascara is amazing! It is recommended by The Busy Budgeting Mama, and I totally understand why! I am never going back to the random mascaras I used to buy; this one is definitely the best. No clumps. Not one little clump. It's also weightless; I can't even tell that I am wearing it (it doesn't make my lashes feel heavy or clumpy or gross).
3. Quaker's Chewy School Days granola bars in Amazing Apple & Best Berry. Ohhhh my gosh! These taste like apple and raspberry crisp, respectively. They are so good! And they were on sale at Target (where they are exclusively sold) for 2/$4.
4. The fact that I only have two more Workplace Innovation classes (tomorrow and next Friday)! Soooo ready for it to be over!
5. Found via Pinterest: Happy Birthday To You is my favorite Dr. Seuss book! (:

I am not a shopaholic...
...but I do spend a lot of time & money at Target. I usually go on Mondays. It's the beginning of the week, the new sale has started, and I have a lot of time.
I only spent $25 today!! Most of what I got was on clearance anyway, and the most expensive item was $7.48...so I don't have a problem, right? Greg in the electronics department saw me and asked if I was buying a new camera...I always lust after the DSLRs and my mom always says "You just got a new camera!" (in February) or "How many cameras do you need?" (I technically have three: my first camera I never use, the second one I gave away, my third [waterproof/shockproof] is at the YMCA, and my current camera is always on me) haha.
So here's what I got:
-black baby tutu skirt for my best friend! (she's having a girl in two months!!!) ($3.00)
-two pairs of knee-high argyle socks ($1.75 each)
-aqua sheet set ($7.48)
-Godiva dark chocolate & almond bar ($3.49) {birthday present}
-5 gum in RPM ($0.90)
-Quaker Chewy School Days granola bars in Amazing Apple ($2.00)
-Quaker Chewy School Days granola bars in Best Berry ($2.00)
-two photos ($0.29 each) {birthday & Christmas presents}
-greenroom thank you cards ($1.18)
I hope to do a review post on the granola bars! I've been wanting to try them ever since I first saw them at Target, and couldn't pass up the 2 for $4 sale! :)

Fashion: Bottoms & Shoes
Continuing on with yesterday's post, I love shopping, fashion, and style. :)
click here for yesterday's post on tops
I live in jeans. More specifically, I live in American Eagle jeans. The first fit of theirs that I bought is the Favorite Boyfriend, which is still my favorite. They're not tight, but they're fitted (read: comfortable!!!).
Dark wash jeans are always my favorite! I think that they are much more classy than faded jeans.
I also love AE's jeggings. Super comfortable. I just wish that the front pockets were deeper...
Finally, I also love their Skinny fit.
I don't typically wear shorts, but I saw these at Target in late July, so I got them to wear when my dad and I went to Lollapalooza to see Black Sabbath! (I wore them with a black tank top and a grey cardigan. I also had on a pair of Nikes [thankfully not the flipflops I planned to wear] because the grounds were naaaastyyy.)
I also love these two skirts (both from Target; black lace was purchased August 2010 & the leopard was purchased October 2011)! I will wear these with either black tights or nude pantyhose.
This picture is from my birthday :) All items from Target haha. v-neck pocket tee, long & lean tank, lace skirt, tights, heels, and my Nikon Coolpix L120
For shoes, I am in love with my Converse. I wear these a lot and post lots of pictures wearing them on Instagram. haha. Here they are with some fabulous Target kneehighs and American Eagle's Favorite Boyfriend jean.
I bought these boots at Target last November to wear with my American Eagle jeggings. I tend to take a lot of photos on my kitchen floor haha.
I got these ballet flats in spring of 2010 (I wore them to my junior prom!), and I will often wear these when it's warm out! :)
In case you haven't noticed, I love animal print. I bought these in September of 2010 to wear to my senior homecoming!
This summer, I went to Target to get a pair of closed-toe black heels. I found some for $30, and then I saw these gold glittery ones too (for $15, same style) so I had to get both of them! I have yet to wear the gold ones, but I have a feeling that I will probably wear them for Halloween! :)

Fashion: Tops
I've said it before, and I'm sure that I will say it many, many more times. I love Target. Yesterday, after helping my parents out with some stuff for the business, I made my weekly trip to Target. I always check the sale ad that comes in the weekend paper, and this week they had one of my favorite items on sale! For 33% off!! :)
The long sleeve v-neck tee! They call it like the casual tee or something like that. I have this shirt in seven colors!
This is their v-neck pocket tee. I love these so much! I have seven of these too! haha.
Another wardrobe staple of mine from Target: the long & lean tank! I love these; I've got them in a bunch of different colors. I've tried the ribbed tank top from Old Navy as well, but I think that those are too bulky.
While we're on the topic of fashion, I figured that I would share my all-time favorite wardrobe staples. I shop at more stores than Target ;)
The only thing that I will ever purchase at Aeropostale is their basic cami. Love it!! I really want this one :)
I also love the tees at Old Navy. I really liked their classic v-neck tee. I'm not sure if they still make it though. This is their vintage-style v-neck tee. I have three of these, and I do like them, but I like the fit of their other one better. I've also tried their long sleeve v-neck tee, but I'm not a fan of the sleeve seams.
Noticing a trend? I prefer v-neck tees because I think that they are more flattering to my body type than a regular crew neck tee.
To layer on top of these shirts, I love cardigans! I have recently picked up two patterned v-neck cardigans from Target, and I also have a couple cardigans from Lands' End Canvas. I wear them open and completely unbuttoned haha.
My closet also contains a bunch of other tops from all over, and I'll share a few favorites that I can still find online, but most of the shirts in my closet are band tees or the like.
My dad picked up this shirt for me the last time he was in Denver. Definitely not something that I would have picked out for myself, but I love it!
I love the USC Trojans :) so when I saw this shirt on American Eagle's website, I had to buy it!!
As for outerwear, I got a red wool peacoat from Target in February on clearance! I don't remember how much it was, I want to say that it was $15, regularly $50? I love the clearance racks...yesterday I found a cheetah print skirt that I'll be watching ;)
I also have a black fleece peacoat from Lands' End. I love Target's pashminas! They were on sale for $12 last week so I picked up a grey one. I also have a light pink one that I got a few years back, and the other scarf that I love to wear is also from Target! It's a grey and black zebra print :)
Stay tuned tomorrow for bottoms and shoes! :)

Influenster Relaunch
One of the things that I am excited to share on this new blog is reviews! I love shopping and trying out new products, so hopefully that won't be too difficult to accomplish! I just need to get better at actually sitting down to write things haha.
A little less than a year ago, I was introduced to the Influenster community. Influenster is a website where you sign up, and complete surveys and other tasks to tell them about you, and you can qualify for VoxBoxes of free samples to test and review! I have been a part of two VoxBoxes this year, the Love VoxBox 2012 (for Valentine's Day) and the Summer Beauty VoxBox 2012.
Recently, Influenster has relaunched their website! It looks so much cleaner and is easier to use. One of the new features is the Influenster score, which helps qualify you for the different VoxBoxes.
Check out the new website here: http://www.influenster.com/ and request an invite! :)
